Kuala Lumpur- Malaysian-based Manforce Group Berhad has donated NPR 562,000 to the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund as a gesture of solidarity with Nepal following the devastating floods and landslides that have caused widespread loss and destruction.

The reputed Malaysian company, which has hundreds of Nepali workers among its workforce, extended the support after learning about the scale of the disaster and its impact on families and communities across Nepal.

Mr. Kelvin Ng, Head of Recruitment at Manforce Group Berhad, said the company was deeply concerned about the situation in Nepal and felt it was important to extend support to the country and communities connected to its workforce.

The contribution also reflects the strong relationship the company has developed with Nepal through the employment of Nepali workers and its commitment to their welfare.

The management of Manforce Group Berhad has urged other agencies, companies and organisations that have strong ties with Nepal through Nepali manpower to come forward and extend helping hands during this difficult period.

The company has also advised its Nepali employees whose families may have been directly affected by the floods and landslides to approach the management. The company has assured that necessary assistance will be considered and provided to employees whose families have been affected by the disaster.

As rescue, relief and recovery efforts continue in the affected areas, the initiative from Manforce Group Berhad highlights the important role businesses with strong connections to Nepal can play in supporting the country during times of crisis.
