Kathmandu. The annual general meeting of the Nepali Businessmen’s Association Qatar, a joint organization of Nepalese businessmen in Qatar, and the New Year 2023 greetings exchange program has been concluded. On Friday, the program was completed in the auditorium of Hotel Radisson Blu, Doha, in a grand program. The organization was established and registered in Qatar with the aim of making Nepali businessmen in Qatar a decent and successful businessmen.
Acting Ambassador of the Nepali Embassy and Deputy Head of Mission Lakshman Khanal was the Chief Hospitality and the President of the Association Mahendra Prasad Chamlagai was the chairman of the event. Individuals and organizations who contributed during the time of Covid-19 were honored.
The program started with the welcome speech of Raj Regmi, the vice president of the association and the youth vice president of the non-residential Nepali association NRNA. In his welcome speech, Vice President Regmi welcomed all present and said that business unity is strength. Pravin Bhattarai, Permanent Secretary of Nepali Embassy, Nasser Al Ali, Chairman of NAE Qatar, Surendra Nath Raghabhar, Finance Director of Safari Group, Ashraf Siddiqui, Editor of Analyst Current Affairs, And Engineer Sabdar Imam, President of Nepal Engineering Association, Patrons Badri Pandey and Samir Maskey, Advisors Mohammad Muktada Muslim, Dr. Nitesh Aryal, Shankar Prasad Neupane, Bikas Prasai, E. Arjun Prasad Bhattarai and Legal Adviser Mohammad Ramzan Ali Mia and others had special hospitality were present in the program.Bhoj Bahadur Nepal, vice president of the association, presented brief information about the purpose of the association and its activities so far. 57 individuals and organizations were honored in the program.
Ramesh Bhatt, secretary general of the organization, said that the honor was given to the workers who were in trouble in Qatar during the Covid-19 crisis by providing them with food, air tickets, and accommodation in various ways.
Similarly, during the ceremony, through the Ministry of Health of the Government of Nepal, individuals who provided financial support to Nepali people by delivering medical supplies worth 12 million Nepali rupees to various places in Nepal during the severe situation of Covid-19 were also honored.
The Nepali Embassy family who assisted in completing the program grandly and decently, the special guests present, patrons, advisers, officials including the entire working committee, all the members of the association, the general secretary of the association Ramesh Bhatt and Bijay Raj Adhikari who facilitated the program to complete the program grandly and decently. The association has expressed its sincere thanks and gratitude to all the media who supported by live broadcasting and to all those who supported directly and indirectly.
The guests present at the event and all the dignitaries openly praised the Nepal Business Association Qatar. They discussed the time and work done by the association’s president Chamlagai and general secretary Bhatt and asked them to do similar fruitful work in the future.
In the event, Chamlagai, the president of the association, expressed his gratitude to all the officials of the working committee, businessmen, the Nepali embassy in Qatar, the various organizations in Qatar and the government of Nepal who supported his campaign and expressed his gratitude to all those present. He also asked for support and cooperation as the union is planning to do a lot of work in the coming days.
